The guidelines
for the
Poster Contest are as follows.
Good Luck to all participants!
Las Virgenes Municipal
Water District is sponsoring the annual Poster Contest
in cooperation with the Metropolitan Water District
of Southern California in celebration of Water Awareness
Month this May.
Please follow these guidelines carefully:

"Water is Life" ~ "Conserve
Water at Home" is the basic theme. Be creative,
think about other ways you can show "Water
is Life":
- At
home or school
- In
the workplace
- In
the environment
- In
agriculture
-
The contest is limited to elementary
levels K - 5 grade.

Poster must be on 12" x
18" WHITE drawing paper.
-
Posters must have
a 1-inch blank border on
all four sides.
-
Only posters drawn HORIZONTALLY will
be accepted.
-
Limit any
writing, and if used, be sure to make it large,
that all words are spelled correctly, and kept
it to a minimum.
-
Students may use one or more of
the following materials: crayon, watercolor,
poster paint, markers, ink, pastels, chalk, cut
paper or fabric.

The more BRILLIANT or BRIGHT the
colors the better.
-
Use original art work only (no
trademark or copyright material, e.g. Snoopy,
etc.) This is your work! Be Creative
~ Show your talent!

ALL posters must be LABELED.
Tape a 4" x 6" card to the back of
your poster with the following information:
Student's name
Student's grade
- School
name
- School
phone number
- Teacher's
name
- School
district
- Your
water district name & contact
(that would be — Las Virgenes Municipal
Water District/Deborah Peters)
Please follow all the directions, or
your poster may not be accepted. If you haven't received an invitation, check with your teacher to find out the deadline for turning your artwork in. If you have any questions, please contact your teacher
or your school office.
