Saving water
is important in our area where 100% of our water must
be imported more than 400 miles from Northern California.
Since landscape irrigation consumes approximately 70%
of the water during hot weather, a well-designed and
tuned irrigation system featuring a Weather-Based Irrigation
Controller (WBIC) is a great way to save water while caring for your landscape.
Las Virgenes Municipal Water District (LVMWD) customers
can receive rebate dollars for a newly installed Weather-Based
Irrigation Controller, with funding provided by Metropolitan
Water District of Southern California. Rebate amounts
are based on the number of valves that will be operated
by the controller. |
| |
To
qualify for a rebate, the controller must be:
Included on the LVMWD list of eligible controllers.
Newly purchased by a current
customer of Las Virgenes Municipal Water District.
Installed
at a property within the Las Virgenes Municipal Water
District service area that uses LVMWD water for irrigation
water, and has a functioning, controller operated irrigation
system. (On-site verification of installation will be required.) |
