WHAT IS ET??? (And why should I care?)

Evapotranspiration (also known at ET) information is provided by the district to help you with irrigation scheduling. This information is gathered from district weather stations at three locations throughout the service area.

ET is a measure of the water needs of landscape. ET indicates the amount of water used by plants when they are well watered, and thus shows the quantity of water we need to return to the soil.

By adjusting irrigation cycles according to ET, you can assure that your plants are receiving sufficient water, without overwatering - for healthier plants and lower water costs.

Daily History ET value measurements are in inches.
