West Nile Virus (WNV), a mosquito-borne disease is now present in Southern California.
One way to combat WNV is to remove opportunities for mosquitoes to breed through the elimination of pools of standing water. Look for places where water collects, and don't forget items such as bird-baths and decorative ponds.
Particularly important! Don't over water your garden or lawn. Be especially mindful to avoid runoff into area where water collects, including streets and gutters. Click here for more conservation ideas.
