John Mundy has been selected as the new General Manager of Las Virgenes Municipal Water District (LVMWD). Mundy was named following the retirement of Jim Colbaugh, who served 10 years as General Manager.
Mundy, 51, joined LVMWD in 1996 as Director of Facilities and Operations. Prior to LVMWD, Mundy worked with municipal utilities in Santa Monica, Ventura and Ramona. Mundy holds a Masters in Public Administration and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from National University in San Diego.
Mundy is actively affiliated with the American Water Works Association, American Water Resources Association, American Public Works Association, Water Pollution Control Federation and the Water Reuse Association.
"I look foward to building the district’s presence in the community and creating understanding of the issues we face as a service provider," commented Mundy.
