LVMWD conducts more than 1,100 water quality tests each month, on samples collected from throughout the district’s 320 miles of potable water pipelines. The water is monitored and tested for more than 120 contaminants, as required by state and federal regulatory agencies. Samples are drawn by hand as well as by automated equipment. Analysis takes place both in the field and in the District’s state-certified laboratory that brings together specialized programs and people, all focused on drinking water safety. |
